A question from Roz:
What is your favourite movie? Favourite childhood memory?
My all time favorite movie, that I have watched over and over and partially memorized, is The Princess Bride. It hits all my humor buttons just right. I have also read the book a few times.
I have many favorite memories from childhood, but the one I'm thinking of right now is when my cousins would all meet up at my grandparents farm in Oklahoma. We'd run all over the place, exploring. The giant pile of cotton seeds in the barn was an especially fun time. It was like having a huge snow pile to play on, only without the coldness. Man, we must have been some dirty kids!
One summer my oldest cousin, a year older than me, spent months there and tamed a field of bulls to come and eat out of his hand. I got brave enough to go out there an offer them a handful of cow cake from my hand, which was a pretty special experience. A Hereford bull is a BIG animal.
No bull, they looked just like this one.

ReplyDeleteQ: Is there something that you can't change right now but are looking forward to changing in the near future?

I love that movie. Never read the book, but it's on my ever expanding to-read list!
