Clothing and Submission

I've been thinking about this lately.  Is there a relationship between what you wear and how you feel?

I think there is.  But is there also something about dressing up for a special occasion that you don't get when you take to wearing a similar "uniform" of sorts every day, even if it started out being a special occasion outfit.

I have a special love of long and flowing skirts, which are not practical for farm work or much of anything, really.  I feel more submissive without pants.

A few years ago, when I was new to being a slave, I had a routine of wearing a skirt most days, or else changing into one right before Master got home.  I think he liked this.  He never said too much about it.  Lately though I have switched back to jeans, or even (gasp!) sweatpants, on days that I don't go anywhere.  He hasn't said anything about this either.  But I don't feel as graceful and "fancy", for lack of a better word, in pants. I will still put on a skirt if we go out somewhere together, most of the time.

Anyway, I'm just rambling on my changing clothing habits and wondering if I should make more of an effort every day.   I was reading some things on Fet today about Indian Sarees and geisha clothing and imagining being so graceful and well dressed all the time.  Not that I have either of those garment types!

Sometimes if I'm fully dressed when he gets home he'll order me to go take it all off and just wear my robe, for easier access.

  1. I love the idea of dressing up every day. I always wanted to be one of those moms who was put together and dressed up in the grocery store. Not so much with the practical though. I do think that your clothes (or lack thereof) can alter your mood. I am all for the access robe too.

  2. It's so funny you bring this up. I have struggled with the same issue ever since I started working from home. I am a total clothes horse and love shoes and bags as well. However when I started working for myself from home, I no longer had to adhere to a dress code and dress professionally every day. What's a girl to do? Should I dress up every day regardless of whether I'm working from home or heading out for a meeting or appointment? I love putting on the heals, skirt, blouse and suit jacket however it's not really practical to wear them around the house as I'm running up and down the stairs, taking care of the dogs, squeezing in laundry, dishes and other housework all while trying to do my real job. I do feel great when I dress up but I also feel great when I throw on a nice pair of jeans, sweater, scarf and great shoes. Even though I could work in my PJs or yoga pants, I only do that when I'm not feeling well. I really do think that looking nice, whether it's casual, professional or for a elegant social occasion can enhance your mood and make you feel good about yourself.

  3. Not having feedback one way or the other about what one wears is frustrating - at least for me. I don't think he really cares much what i wear around the house - to cook, clean, walk the dog, do yardwork.... He likes access - no clothes in bed, easy access if we are able to be semi-alone in the evenings. And stay up hose if we go out (no idea what that is all about). Otherwise he never expresses any preferences, even if I ask. Do you find you need or want to know his feelings about it, or is the fact that dressing up a bit more makes you feel better all around a reason to do it?

    1. I really do want his input, but given that I"m not getting it (even if I ask), that is what i'm thinking about- what to wear for myself?

Today, I think it will be something sexy as he works a half day only and there will not be any kids here....!

  4. Skirts always make me feel more submissive and put together. Skirts also give more access. Anything done deliberately helps.

    1. He really likes being able to flip them up. I did start wearing skirts again this week. i think I'll just do it on and off. We'll see.

I just made what would have been a hilarious joke on social media, if only the one other person who would get it would have been around to...
