Nothing

I have had a rule since August, that I'm not allowed to answer Master back with "Nothing", especially to the question "What's wrong?" and similar queries.   However this morning I did it again.  Given that I've been doing it my whole life, it is a hard habit to break.  I even thought a second before answering.  I thought to myself "Is something wrong?" and I couldn't pinpoint anything.  So I said "Nothing." He reminded me I wasn't allowed to say that.

Ok, maybe I wasn't ecstatically filled with rainbow sunshine and puppydog hugs at the moment, but I couldn't exactly say that something was definitely wrong.

What is the right answer?

  1. Are you supposed to come up with something or does he just want you to reword your answer? Is "I am doing well Sir, Thank you" an answer he would accept? As much as Sir hates it when I say, 'fine', I have a feeling a similar rule to yours will soon be implemented.

    1. He just wants me to say what is wrong. The problem is I don't have the words. It might take me all day to figure out and the answer could be "hormones". Or "Tuesday morning". Or "I need a hug".

  2. would 'not 100% but I haven't figured out exactly why yet' be ok?

    1. Yeah, I think that would have been better. We talked a bunch on FB over his lunch today. I'm guess hormones, actually. It is that time. :( But some online Christmas shopping and many other chores done, including starting the Christmas cards, is making me feel better.

  3. He doesn't like it when I say, "I don't know," but sometimes I just don't know. We can only try to do better the next time...
